Hi everyone! I am Kirstin, a Mum of 3 and exercise lover.
My passion for health and fitness started when I first joined a gym at age 17. I qualified as a Fitness Instructor in 2003, and then as a Personal Trainer in 2010. I have lots of experience as a group fitness instructor, previously teaching spin, pump and various styles of circuit classes. I also qualified as a Reformer Pilates Instructor in 2023.
I am a big believer in fitness being fun! You WILL get the results you want if you are doing something you enjoy and want to keep coming back to time and time again.
Having been in the fitness arena for a long time, I have had a great variety of training styles, and have tried most trends that have come and gone, and some that have stuck around. I am a huge fan of strength and conditioning, with my favourite style of training being the big heavies – squat, deadlift, bench and strict press but I also really love low intensity exercises too! – if I could find time in my week around my kids to do it all, I absolutely would!
Outside of the gym I love surfing – I am terrible at it but whenever there is a wave at Orewa you can bet I’ve spent some time on it! When there are no waves, I like to get out for a morning run instead.
I love supporting women in becoming the strongest version of themselves. It is so cool seeing people achieve what they never thought was possible.
